About
Dear Writer,
There are few things I enjoy more than seeing a brilliant piece of written work cross the finish line to publication. I hold a Ph.D in Italian Language and Literature from Johns Hopkins University. I am fluent in Italian along with my native English and have a reading proficiency in French and Latin.
In terms of my academic studies, my areas of expertise include medieval literature with a focus on Dante and Boccaccio, early modern literature, Islamic and Christian mysticism, apocalypse and eschatology, gender and women’s studies, intersectionality, comparative literatures, continental philosophy, migrant writers and minor literatures, art history and the visual arts, and musicology. However, I have also worked with historians, economists, science fiction writers, screenwriters, and journalists, to name just a few!
I have assisted academics at top research universities in the United States, including Georgetown University, Princeton University, Johns Hopkins University, Fordham University, and Vanderbilt University, as well as scholars at European institutions such as Trinity College in Dublin, Università di Torino, Università Ca’ Foscari, Università di Bologna, and the Freie Universität Berlin, among others. Many of my clients have published or are under contract for book manuscripts with prestigious academic presses including Oxford University Press, University of Toronto Press, Ohio State University Press, University of Virginia Press, Brill, Springer, De Gruyter, Routledge, and Verlag.
My clients have also published or are under contract for article publications with peer-reviewed journals such as Italian Quarterly, Quaderni d’italianistica, Italica, Lettere italiane, Modern Language Notes, and Archivio novellistico italiano.
In addition to my copyediting and translation work, I teach as an adjunct professor in the Italian, Global Islamic Studies, and Gender Sexuality and Intersectionality Studies at a liberal arts college. I continue to engage with the latest scholarship in my fields of studies, and I have an intimate understanding of current procedures, administrative issues, and research trends in higher education.
I would be honored to include you among my clients and collaborate on your written work. Please email me at pupilloeditingtranslation@gmail.com to get started.
What does collaboration look like?
Once I receive your email, we discuss the project parameters and goals. This discussion could be entirely over email or a virtual meeting if preferred. For larger projects, I will provide a sample edit so that you can see how I work. I will explain my pricing and timelines.
When we are in alignment on your project goals, I will send a contract for you to review and sign that details the scope of work and expectations.
We will be in contact throughout the scope of the project. Once my work is completed, you will have the opportunity to ask questions about my edits or translation, and we will work together to finesse your final version.
Let's Collaborate!
I would be happy to discuss your current project and goals. Email me at pupilloeditingtranslation@gmail.com to get started.
